Snyder makes appointment to Board of Barber Examiners

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Perry Vitto, of Canton, to the Board of Barber Examiners.
The nine-member board is housed in the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and regulates the services of barbers, barber students, barber colleges, barber instructors, student instructors, and barbershops in Michigan.
"Perry is a talented professional and I look forward to his contributions to the board," Snyder said.
Vitto is a barber and manager at Arbor Hill Hair & Body Salon in Ann Arbor. He has more than 37 years of experience in the barber industry including eight years of managerial experience. Vitto attended Henry Ford Community College and graduated from City Barber College. He represents barbers and replaces Michael Glasscoe.
Vitto will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring Sept. 30, 2016. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
