LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of John Krick, of Frankenmuth, to the Michigan Bean Commission.
The nine-member commission oversees research and promotes the bean industry in Michigan.
“I am confident John will continue to be a valuable asset to the commission as it continues to promote Michigan’s food and agriculture industry,” Snyder said.
Krick is a partner of John Schluckebier Farms. He is a lifelong dry bean farmer and has experience in production. He farms 1,400 acres of dry beans, soy beans, corn, and sugar beets. Krick serves as treasurer of the Michigan Bean Commission. He continues to represent District 8.
Krick will serve a three-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2017. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
