LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Erik Lundberg, of Ann Arbor, to the Investment Advisory Committee.
The committee reviews investments, goals and objectives of the state's various retirement funds. It may submit recommendations to the state treasurer, or direct the state treasurer to dispose of or enter into investments.
"Erik is an experienced professional and I am confident he will continue to do great work on behalf of the people of Michigan,” said Snyder.
Lundberg is CEO at the University of Michigan, where he is responsible for directing the university’s investment programs. He also worked in the investment, investor relations and corporate finance industry. Lundberg earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s in business administration from Ohio State University.
Lundberg will serve a three-year term expiring Dec. 15, 2017. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
