Snyder makes appointment to Developmental Disabilities Council

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Deborah Rock, of Pewamo, to the Developmental Disabilities Council.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Community Health, the 21-member Council works to support people with disabilities.
“Deborah will be a tremendous asset to the council moving forward,” Snyder said.
Rock is a mother of a child on the autism spectrum with developmental disabilities and earned a teacher paraprofessional a certificate from Lansing Community College. She represents parents of a child with developmental disabilities and fills an existing vacancy.
Rock will serve a four-year term expiring Sept. 30, 2018. Her appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
