Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointments to Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Justin Carlson, of Negaunee, to the Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the nine-member board advises the department on policies, plans and programs concerning the Negaunee Township-based Michigan Iron Industry Museum. It supports education programs and public use of the facility.
"I am confident Justin will be a strong board member who will do good work on behalf of the museum and the state," said Snyder.
Carlson is owner of Superior Web Solutions LLC., in Negaunee. He is a member of the 40 Below Marquette County young professionals organization, the Hiawatha Amateur Radio Association, and is communications director for the Marquette Trail 50 Ultramarathon. Carlson earned a bachelor’s degree in business and entrepreneurship from Northern Michigan University. He represents the Township of Negaunee and replaces Jennifer Huetter, who resigned.
Carlson will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring Oct. 4, 2016. His appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
