Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to Board of Accountancy

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Kathleen Post, of Livonia, and Amna Seibold, of East Grand Rapids, to the State Board of Accountancy.

The nine-member board oversees licensure and certification requirements for certified public accountants and public accounting firms.

“Kathleen and Amna have been great assets to the board, and I’m glad they will each serve another term and continue using their expertise to make recommendations about accountancy standards in Michigan,” Snyder said.

Post is a certified public accountant with Davis and Davis CPAs, a local public accounting firm. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Post earned a bachelor of business administration in accounting and finance from Western Michigan University. She continues to represent certified public accountants. 

Seibold is pathology director for Saint Mary’s Health Care and mayor of East Grand Rapids. She served as the director of radiology and pathology at Saint Mary’s Health Care and manager of outpatient services at Saint Lawrence Hospital. Seibold earned a bachelor’s degree in English and biology from Albion College, a master of health services administration from the University of Michigan, and was a 2010 Fellow of the Michigan Political Leadership Program. She continues to represent the general public. 

Members serve four-year terms expiring June 30, 2019. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
