June 19, 2015
LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Linda Orlans, of Birmingham, to the State Building Authority Board of Trustees.
The five-person board oversees the State Building Authority, which issues and sells bonds and notes to acquire equipment and construct facilities.
"Linda is an experienced professional and I trust that she will be an asset to this board," Snyder said.
Orlans is executive chair of eTitle Agency, Inc. which she founded in 1998. She serves on the board of trustees for the Detroit Institute of Arts, is a board member of Inforum and serves on the board of trustees for the Michigan Opera Theatre. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and a law degree from Michigan State University. She fills the vacancy created by the resignation of David Trott.
Orlans will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring Aug. 21, 2015. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
