Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to State Board of Plumbing

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Dan Nixon, of Sterling Heights, to the State Plumbing Board.
The seven-member board oversees the licensing of plumbers and supports the activities of Michigan's plumbing industry.
“Dan has been a great board member and I thank him for his continued service,” Snyder said.
Nixon is a business representative for Plumbers Local 98 in Madison Heights. Nixon is a licensed journeyman plumber and has worked in industrial, commercial and residential plumbing since 1987. He attended Oakland University before completing a five-year apprenticeship program with Plumbers Local 98. He continues to represent licensed journeyman plumbers.
Nixon serves a three-year term expiring June 30, 2018. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
