LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Renee Werth, of Lansing, to the Michigan Board of Veterinary Medicine.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board evaluates and determines minimal entry level competency of veterinarians and takes disciplinary action against any misconduct of licensees.
“I thank Renee for her service to this important board and look forward to her ongoing contributions,” Snyder said.
Werth is the vice president of education and events for the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. She previously served as a management development specialist for eight years with Jackson National Life. Werth serves as an advocate for the veterinarian community by researching effective treatments of obscure medical conditions for pets. She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in organizational communication both from Central Michigan University.
Werth will serve a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2019. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
