LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Roland Self, of Saranac, to the State Survey and Remonumentation Committee.
The seven-member committee will consult with the Department of Licensing and Regulatory affairs to create and distribute a model county plan that may be adopted by a county with any changes appropriate for that county.
"I thank Roland for his willingness to serve and offer expertise to this important commission," Snyder said.
Self is currently the chair of the Ionia County Central Dispatch Board. He previously served as executive director of the Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors and on the State Fire Safety Board. Self holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Ferris State University. He will continue to represent the general public.
Self will serve a four-year term expiring Oct. 20, 2019. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
