Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointments to the Michigan Task Force on Physician's Assistants

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointments of Lara Davis of Fenton, Megan Dietrich of Royal Oak, and Maryam Komejan of Holland, to the Michigan Task Force on Physician’s Assistants.

The 13-member task force, housed in the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, oversees nearly 3,300 physician's assistants throughout Michigan and determines and approves their qualifications.

"I thank these appointees for their dedication to serve on this important task force as we continue our work of ensuring a stronger, healthier Michigan," Snyder said.

Davis is a physician’s assistant at the Genesys Heart Institute Physician Group and Genesee Urgent Care. She holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Northern Michigan University, and a master’s of science in medicine from Western Michigan University. She will represent physician’s assistants and replaces April Adado.

Dietrich is a physician’s assistant in neuroscience and orthopedics at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland. She holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Michigan and a master’s of health science from Drexel University. She will represent physician’s assistants and replaces Joel Kutz.

Komejan is the CEO and managing director of the Zeika Group, LLC, with over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, utilities, financial services and logistics. Komejan holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hope College and a master’s degree in management from Aquinas College. She will represent the general public and replaces Lisa Hadden.

Members will serve four-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2019. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
