Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Hispanic/Latino Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Jeremiah Hernandez of DeWitt to the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, the 15-member commission develops and maintains a unified policy and plan of action to serve the needs of Michigan's Hispanic and Latino residents.
"I thank Jeremiah for his commitment to serve, and I am confident he will continue to do good work promoting the diverse interests of Hispanics and Latinos in Michigan," Snyder said.
Hernandez has worked in management for more than six years. He is currently a general manager for Best Buy where he helps promote corporate diversity and retention. Hernandez served in the U.S. Army from 2001-2008.
Hernandez’s term expires Dec. 10, 2018. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
