Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to Board of Law Examiners

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Judge Christopher Murray of Grosse Pointe Farms to the Board of Law Examiners.

The Board of Law Examiners is responsible for the investigation and examination of anyone applying for admission to the State Bar. Board members are nominated by the court and appointed by the governor for five year terms.

"Christopher has an outstanding legal background and will continue to be a valuable asset for the board," Snyder said.

Judge Murray has served on the Court of Appeals since 2002 and is currently Chief Judge Pro Tem. He previously served as a judge on the Wayne County Circuit Court, as Deputy Legal Counsel to Governor Engler, and worked as an attorney in private practice at Keller Thomas.

Murray received his bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College and his law degree from the University Of Detroit School Of Law.

His five-year term will expire June 30, 2021.
