Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Michigan Employment Relations Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Natalie Yaw of Detroit to the Michigan Employment Relations Commission.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the three-member commission, is responsible for resolving labor disputes involving public and private sector employees. No more than two members may belong to the same political party.

"I’m certain Natalie’s experience will continue to serve the commission well as it solves disputes brought before it" Snyder said.

Yaw is a partner with Erskine Law Group PC, specializing in warranty and product liability litigation in Michigan and California. She was vice president and legal counsel for RBS Citizens NA in Southfield from 2012-2015.

Yaw earned a bachelor of arts degree from Rice University and her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law. 

Yaw, a Democrat, will serve a three-year term expiring June 30, 2019. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
