Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Board of Massage Therapy

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Rachael Viitala of Marquette to the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy.
Housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 11-member board plays an advisory role overseeing the practice of massage therapists.
"Rachael is an experienced professional who will do great work on this board," Snyder said.
Viitala is the owner and a massage therapist of Trinity Massage in Marquette. She holds certifications in first and second degree Reiki, and Thai Massage. She will represent professional members and replace Donald Bowman.
She will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2019. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
