Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Michigan Council for Rehabilitation Services

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Steve Perdue of Traverse City to the Michigan Council for Rehabilitation Services.
Housed within the Department of Health and Human Services, the council reviews, analyzes and advises Michigan Rehabilitation Services and the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons.
“Steve is experienced in this field and will make a positive addition to the council,” Snyder said.
Perdue is president and CEO of both Grand Traverse Industries and Northern Living Non Profit Housing Corporation. He is a board member of TC Connect, Traverse City Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee the Workforce Development Board, and SourceAmerica. Perdue holds a bachelor’s degree in history and physical sciences from San Jose State University and a graduate degree in education from Sonoma State University. He will represent business, industry or labor and replace Adam Kaplan.
He will serve the remainder of a three-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2018.
