Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Board of Athletic Trainers

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment Christina Eyers of Plymouth to the Michigan Board of Athletic Trainers.
Housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 11-member board assists with overseeing the licensure and practice of athletic trainers.
“I thank Christina for her continued willingness to serve on this important board and look forward to her future contributions,” Snyder said.
Eyers is manager of athletic training at Henry Ford Health System. She previously served as supervisor and coordinator of athletic training and coordinator of performance enhancement programs at Henry Ford Health Systems. She also served as an instructor and an assistant athletic trainer at Saginaw Valley State University. She has a bachelor's degree in movement science from the University of Michigan, a master's degree in health studies from the University of Alabama and a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Central Michigan University. She will continue to represent athletic trainers.
Eyers will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2020. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
