LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Rachael Eubanks of East Lansing to serve on the state’s Public Service Commission.
The three-member commission provides regulatory oversight of Michigan’s utilities and works to ensure safe and reliable energy at reasonable prices. No more than two commissioners can represent the same political party.
Eubanks is the director of public finance for Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and will represent Independents. She fills the vacancy created by John Quackenbush.
She will serve the remainder of a six-year term expiring July 2, 2017. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
