LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) Maciolek of Macomb to the Michigan Board of Chiropractic.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board sets entry-level competency standards for health practitioners and verifies continuing education during licensure, protecting and promoting the public's health, safety and welfare.
“I appreciate Bob’s willingness to serve on this board,” Snyder said.
Maciolek is the owner and president of Static Line Software, Inc. He is a Major in the Michigan Army National Guard. Maciolek has over 28 years of experience in the information technology industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Wayne State University. He will represent the general public and fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Nicola Hawatmeh.
Maciolek will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2017. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
