Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Construction Code Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Daryl Gallant of Brighton to the State Construction Code Commission.
Housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 17-member commission enforces and oversees construction code throughout the state.
“I thank Daryl for serving on this important commission, and I am confident he will bring insight to the industry,” Snyder said.
Gallant is the assistant director of the Michigan Laborers’ Training and Apprenticeship Institute (MLTAI). Gallant holds a bachelor’s degree from George Meany Labor College and a master’s degree from Western Michigan University. He will represent organized labor and replace Nelson McMath.
Gallant will serve a four-year term expiring Jan. 31, 2020. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
