Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Michigan Board of Audiology

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Sharon Blackburn of Cadillac to the Michigan Board of Audiology.
Housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates audiologists practicing in Michigan.
“I thank Sharon for her continued service on this board,” Snyder said.
Blackburn is the clinical director and a clinical audiologist at Audiological Services of Cadillac Inc. She is a member of the Michigan Academy of Audiology, American Academy of Audiology, the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
Blackburn holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and speech pathology from Boston College, a master's degree in audiology from Central Michigan University, and a clinical doctorate of audiology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She will continue to represent audiologists.
Blackburn will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2020. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
