Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Board of Real Estate Appraisers

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Delbert Denkins of Niles to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates the service of more than 6,000 real estate appraisers.
“I am confident Delbert will be an effective board member and I thank him for serving,” Snyder said.
Denkins is vice president and review manager for Chemical Bank. He is chief appraiser and owner of Denkins Appraisal & Consulting, LLC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Eastern Michigan University. Denkins will represent certified general real estate appraisers and replace Diana Meyer
Denkins will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2020. The appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
