Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to the Early Childhood Investment Corporation

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Shauna Barbeau of Midland and Leslie Murphy of Ann Arbor to the Early Childhood Investment Corporation board of directors.
Created in 2005, the 18-member board is the state's leading group for information about and investment in early childhood programs.
“Shauna and Leslie continue to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board and I appreciate their willingness to continue to serve," Snyder said.
Barbeau is a family nurse practitioner with Janes Street Academic Community Health Center in Saginaw. She previously worked as a nurse practitioner for Olson Pediatrics and Peter Holden, MD. Barbeau holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Nursing from Seattle University and Gonzaga University, respectively.
Murphy is president and CEO of Murphy Consulting, Inc. She sits on the board of directors for Kelly Services, Inc., Vision Service Plans Global, Detroit Legal News Corporation, McGregor Fund Foundation, and United Way for Southeast Michigan. Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan.
Members will serve four-year terms expiring July 22, 2020.
