Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Board of Acupuncture

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Sheryl Blanchard of Okemos to the Board of Acupuncture.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 13-member board oversees the licensure and practice of acupuncture.
“I appreciate Sheryl’s willingness to serve on this board,” Snyder said.
Blanchard is a chemistry technician at Michigan State University and serves as deacon of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in East Lansing. She holds an associate’s degree from William Rainey Harper Junior College and a bachelor’s degree from Elmhurst College. She will represent the general public and replace William Sullivan.
Blanchard will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring June 30, 2019. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
