Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Collection Practices Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Nicholas Dondzila of Kentwood to the Michigan Collection Practices Board.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates collection agencies operating in Michigan.
"Nicholas will make an excellent addition to this board and I thank him for his willingness to serve," Snyder said.
Dondzila is a founder and managing attorney at Michigan Health Lawyers, PLLC. He previously served as an associate attorney at Straub, Seaman & Allen, P.C., as well as a prehearing attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals. Dondzila holds a bachelor’s of business administration from Grand Valley State University and a juris doctorate from the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Law. He will represent the general public and replace Stephen MacGuidwin.
Dondzila will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2020. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
