Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument Fund Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Linda Emmert of Omena to the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument Fund Commission.
The seven-member commission oversees the financing, design, and construction of Michigan's future Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
“I thank Linda for her continued commitment to honoring the men and women who protect us every day. I am confident she will do great work on this commission,” Snyder said.
Emmert was a teacher for 23 years and is now a master gardener volunteer in Leelanau and Grand Traverse Counties. She previously served 10 years as president/director of a statewide police survivor organization. Emmert holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Michigan State University and a master’s in education from Grand Valley State University.
Emmert will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2020.
