Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Board of Chiropractic

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Lewis Squires of Scottville to the Michigan Board of Chiropractic.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board sets entry-level competency standards for health practitioners and verifies continuing education during licensure, protecting and promoting the public's health, safety and welfare.

“I thank Lewis for his continued commitment to Michigan chiropractors and ensuring the safety of patients statewide,” Snyder said.

Squires is the owner of Squires Family Care Chiropractic. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors and serves on the American Chiropractic Association Board of Governors. He attended Jackson Community College and Ferris State University, and holds doctor of chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. He will continue to represent chiropractors.

Squires will serve a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2020. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
