Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to the Michigan Asparagus Marketing Advisory Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Sarah Greiner of Hart and Eric Herrygers of Hart to the Michigan Asparagus Marketing Advisory Board which develops and implements asparagus marketing programs.
"I thank Sarah and Eric for continuing their service on this board. I am confident they will have a positive effect on the marketing of asparagus statewide," Snyder said.
Greiner is an owner/operator of Todd Greiner Farms Packing, LLC which grows fruits, vegetables and evergreens; they also operate a fresh asparagus packing facility. Greiner holds an associate’s degree in allied health from Grand Rapids Community College. She will continue to represent Northern-Central Michigan Growers.
Herrygers owns and operates Herrygers Farms, LLC which farms over 600 acres of tree fruit, asparagus, and Christmas trees. He serves on the Farm Service Agency, Oceana County Soil Conservation District, Oceana County Farm Bureau Board and the Elbridge Township Planning Commission. Herrygers holds an associate’s degree in automotive technology from West Shore Community College. He will continue to represent Northern-Central Michigan Growers.
Members serve three-year terms expiring Nov. 13, 2019. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
