Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Library of Michigan Board of Trustees

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Pamela Christensen of Marquette to the Library of Michigan Board of Trustees.
The 13-member board makes general policy and budgetary recommendations concerning the Library of Michigan to the Michigan Department of Education. In addition to the governor's appointees, the board consists of members appointed by the Speaker of the House, House Minority Leader, and both the Senate Majority and Minority Leaders.
“I thank Pamela for her continued commitment to the Library of Michigan,” Snyder said.
Christensen is the executive director of Superiorland Library Cooperative and previously served as library director at the Peter White Public Library. She is a member of the Michigan Cooperative Director’s Association and the Michigan Library Association Board of Directors. Christensen holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Western Michigan University. She will continue to represent public libraries.
Christensen will serve a three-year term expiring Oct. 1, 2019.
