Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Kelli King of Wyoming to the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists.

The nine-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in overseeing the licensure and practice of Michigan's occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.

“I thank Kelli for her continued commitment to overseeing Michigan occupational therapists,” Snyder said.

King is an occupational therapist for the Ionia County Intermediate School District. Previously, she served as an occupational therapist for Metron of Greenville and Smith-Green West Allen Special Education Cooperative in Indiana. King is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. She holds a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University, where she received additional training in sensory integration and school-based occupational therapy. She will continue to represent professionals.

King will serve a four-year term expiring Dec.31, 2020. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
