Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Developmental Disabilities Council

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Katie Miller of Grand Rapids to the Developmental Disabilities Council.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the 21-member council advocates for people with disabilities on a statewide level.
“I thank Katie for her commitment to this council and I am confident she will bring positive input to this board that can help better the lives of Michiganders who have a disability,” Snyder said.
Miller is a vocational training participant with IKUS Life Enrichment Services. She attended Florida Southern College. She will represent an individual with a developmental disability.
Miller will serve a three-year term expiring Sept. 30, 2020.
