Gov. Snyder makes reappointment to Electronic Recording Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Michelle Stevenson of Houghton Lake to the Electronic Recording Commission.
Housed within the Department of Technology, Management and Budget the commission establishes standards and practices so that county registers of deeds are consistent with the standards and practices of offices in other jurisdictions.
“I thank Michelle for her continued commitment to this commission and ensuring county registers of deeds are following a consistent standard,” Snyder said.
Stevenson is the county clerk and register of deeds for Roscommon County. She holds an associate’s degree from the University of Maryland University College. She will continue to represent county registers of deeds.
Stevenson will serve a two-year term expiring Jan. 1, 2019.
