LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder announced the appointment of Shawn Lyon of Findlay, Ohio, to the Michigan Pipeline Safety Advisory Board.
Housed within the Department of Environmental Quality, this advisory board was established to advise and assist in the implementation of matters relating to hazardous liquid and gas pipeline safety, routing, construction, operation, and maintenance, and provide recommendations for statutory, contractual, or procedural changes to improve the safety of pipelines in the state of Michigan.
“I thank Shawn for serving in this role and I am confident in his ability to help recommend safety regulations that will protect our residents and natural resources for years to come,” Snyder said.
