Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to the Michigan Board of Professional Engineers

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Daniel Acciavatti of Chesterfield, Lori Fobes of Jackson, and Kelly Fedele of Southgate to the Michigan Board of Professional Engineers.

The nine-member board regulates the practice of professional engineers and is housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

“I thank these individuals for their continued commitment to this board,” Snyder said.

Acciavatti is the Chesterfield Township supervisor. He previously served as the chief financial officer of Pamar Enterprises Inc., a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, and as vice president of A & H Inc. Acciavatti holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Michigan. He will continue to represent the general public.

Fobes is the director of project quality management for Consumers Energy. She is the director of the Society of Professional Engineers - Jackson Chapter, is a co-founder and active leader of the Women's Engineering Network, and served as a member of the Midwest Energy Association. Fobes holds a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from Michigan Technological University. She will continue to represent professional engineers.

Fedele is the manager for gas nomination services for DTE Energy. She previously served as city surveyor and assistant city engineer for the city of Trenton and spent more than 10 years as chief engineer for the Charles E. Raines Co. Fedele holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from Lawrence Technological University and Wayne State University, respectively, and a bachelor's degree in land surveying from Michigan Technological University. She will continue to represent professional engineers.

Members will serve four-year terms expiring March 31, 2021. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
