Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Park Authority Board of Commissioners

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Kurt Heise of Plymouth to the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority Board of Commissioners.
The board governs the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority through the approval of expenditures, acquiring lands, planning of new parks and facilities, and other regional recreational matters.
"I thank Kurt for his commitment to serving on this board and I am confident his background will help him positively impact the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Park," Snyder said.
Heise is the supervisor for the Charter Township of Plymouth and previously served as a Michigan State Representative. He is a licensed attorney with more than 25 years of experience in municipal, labor, and environmental law. Heise holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a law degree and master of law degree, both from Wayne State University Law School. He will replace John Hertel.
Heise will serve a four-year term expiring May 2, 2021.
