Snyder makes appointment to the Michigan State Capitol Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Roger Kahn of St. Charles to the Michigan State Capitol Commission.
The commission manages the Michigan State Capitol Historic Site, maintains and restores the State Capitol Building, maintains and improves the grounds of the site, and makes recommendations to the Governor, the Senate, and the House of Representatives regarding funding for the site.
"I thank Roger for serving on this commission and am confident his input will help make improvements to our state Capitol building," Snyder said.
Kahn is a physician specializing in cardiology at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tawas, as well as an associate clinical professor of medicine at Central Michigan University. He served as a Michigan State Representative from 2004 - 2006, and as a Michigan State Senator from 2007 - 2014. He holds an associate’s degree from Delta College and a medical degree from Wayne State University. He will serve on the commission as a representative of the governor and replaces Travis Weber.
