LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder issued the following statement regarding today’s announcement that the unemployment rate has fallen to 4.7 percent:
“For the second consecutive month, our state’s unemployment rate has fallen while total workforce growth has continued to increase,” Gov. Rick Snyder said. “The numbers are encouraging, but as we continue down the path toward our future we must keep our foot on the gas. By continuing to work hard taking smart actions and avoiding complacency, we can ensure that these positive trends continue as we move forward with Michigan’s reinvention.”
