Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Michigan Board of Pharmacy

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Kathleen Pawlicki of Novi to the Michigan Board of Pharmacy.

Housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 11-member board is responsible for regulating and inspecting the practice of pharmacy and drugs manufactured and distributed in the state.

"Kathleen has years of experience in this industry and I am confident she will be a positive addition to this board," Snyder said.

Pawlicki is the vice president and chief pharmacist for Beaumont Health and has served in the roles of administrative director of professional services and as director of pharmaceutical services. She is also the chair of the Pharmacy Management Committee for the Michigan Hospital Association. Pawlicki holds a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State College of Pharmacy and a master’s degree from Wayne State College of Pharmacy. She will represent pharmacists and replace Dhafer Almaklani.

She will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2021, and her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
