Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Board of Nursing Home Administrators

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Ricky Ackerman of Ada to the Michigan Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board is responsible for determining licensing requirements for nursing home administrators.
“I thank Ricky for his continued commitment to licensing nursing home administrators,” Snyder said.
Ackerman is the executive vice president of the Peplinski Group, Inc., and previously served as a nurse home administrator for the West Woods of Niles. He is a member of the American Society of Employers and Health Care Association of Michigan. Ackerman holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in physical therapy from Central Michigan University. He will continue to represent nursing home administrators.
Ackerman will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2021. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
