Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Board of Health and Safety Compliance and Appeals

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Daniel Kozakiewicz of Midland to the Board of Health and Safety Compliance and Appeals.
The seven-member board reviews all contested Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) cases, including safety and health citations, ordersand appeals.
"I thank Daniel for his commitment to upholding Michigan’s health and safety standards in the workplace," Snyder said.
Kozakiewicz is chairman of the board of directors for Three Rivers Corporation, a construction firm based in Midland. He previously worked as a project manager, as vice president of operations and as president of the corporation. Kozakiewicz holds an associate’s degree in construction technology from Ferris State University and a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from Lawrence Technological University. He will represent management in the construction industry and replace Scott Wagner.
Kozakiewicz will serve a four-year term expiring March 18, 2021. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
