LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Lori Jarvis of Coloma and Justin Roebuck of Zeeland to the Electronic Recording Commission.
Housed within the Department of Technology, Management and Budget, the commission establishes standards and practices so that county registers of deeds are consistent with the standards and practices of offices in other jurisdictions.
“I thank Lori and Justin for their commitment and I’m confident their experiences will be an asset to this commission,” Snyder said.
Jarvis has served as the Berrien County Register of Deeds since 2001. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska. She will represent county registers of deeds and replace Diane Adams.
Roebuck is the County Clerk and Register of Deeds for Ottawa County, and previously served as the elections coordinator for the Ottawa County Clerk. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College. He will represent county registers of deeds and replace Mary Hollinrake.
Appointees will serve two-year terms expiring January 1, 2019. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
