Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Board of Professional Engineers

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Patrick Barry of New Hudson to the Board of Professional Engineers.
The nine-member board regulates the practice of professional engineers and is housed within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
“I am confident Patrick will be a great addition to this board and I thank him for his commitment to serve,” Snyder said.
Barry is a project architect with Neumann Smith Architecture and previously served as a project architect and manager with Fusco, Shaffer, and Pappas, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in architecture from Lawrence Technological University. He will represent a member of the Michigan Board of Architects and replace Randy Sherman.
Barry will serve a four-year term to expire March 31, 2021. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
