Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Michigan Collection Practices Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Thomas Matonican of Midland to the Michigan Collection Practices Board.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates collection agencies operating in Michigan.
“Thomas’s experience will be an asset to this board and I thank him for serving,” Snyder said.
Matonican is president and CEO of CBM Services, Inc. He also serves as treasurer for the Michigan Association of Collection Practices, is president for the Great Lakes HFMA, and serves on the board of directors for the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. He will continue to represent professionals.
Matonican will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2021. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
