Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the State Building Authority Board of Trustees

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Peter Schwartz of Bloomfield Hills to the State Building Authority Board of Trustees.
The five-person board oversees the State Building Authority, which issues and sells bonds and notes to acquire equipment and construct facilities.
“I thank Peter for serving and I’m confident he will be a great addition to the board,” Snyder said.
Schwartz is a registered representative, registered investment advisor, and principal of Gregory J. Schwartz & Co., Inc. He is a board member for Racquet Up Detroit and a former trustee of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. Schwartz holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Fairfield University. He will replace Carol Walters.
He will serve a four-year term expiring August 21, 2021. His appointment is subject the advice and consent of the Senate.
