Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to the Michigan Onion Committee

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Bruce Klamer of Byron Center and Michael Bosch of Hamilton to the Michigan Onion Committee.
The five-member committee prepares and oversees the onion marketing program budget and makes amendment recommendations to the marketing program, which supports the advancement of Michigan's onion industry.
“I thank Bruce and Michael for their commitment to this committee and to marketing Michigan’s agriculture industry,” Snyder said.
Klamer is a third-generation vegetable farmer and is the owner and president of V+W Farms Inc. His farm includes 50 acres of onions and 100 acres of celery. Klamer is the current Michigan Onion Committee chairman.
Bosch has worked as a field supervisor at Eding Brothers Farm since 2006. His work includes overseeing a crew of workers on 40 acres of onions and 150 acres of celery. Bosch holds a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University.
They will serve three-year terms expiring August 16, 2020. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
