LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Roy Yaple of Brighton to the Michigan State Council for Interstate Juvenile Supervision.
Housed within the Department of Health and Human Services, the five-member commission monitors compliance with the interstate compact and its rules, and can intervene to address and correct noncompliance.
“I thank Roy for his commitment to monitoring compliance with this compact and I am confident he will be a positive addition to this board,” Snyder said.
Yaple is a departmental manager for the Interstate Compact for Juveniles within the Department of Health and Human Services. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, a master in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a master in environmental management from Illinois Institute of Technology. He will serve as the compact administrator and fill the vacancy created by the resignation and retirement of Dale Murray.
He will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring February 12, 2020.
