Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Data Collection Agency Governing Board

LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of John Schrock of Grand Ledge to the Data Collection Agency Governing Board.

The eight-member board determines workers' compensation data requirements for establishing workers' disability compensation insurance rates.  

"John has done great work on this board and I thank him for his continued commitment to helping Michiganders," Snyder said.

Schrock has been with state government for 30 years and is currently an administrator with the Michigan Workers’ Compensation Agency. His previous experience includes work for Crawford & Company, where he was employed as adjuster-in-charge in Escanaba. He also has experience with the Michigan Department of Corrections. Schrock holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Northern Michigan University. He will continue to represent the executive branch of state government.

Schrock will serve a one-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2018. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
