Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Michigan Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Ali Safiedine of Southfield to the Michigan Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
The nine-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with overseeing the practice of Michigan podiatrists.
"I thank Dr. Safiedine for serving on this board and I am confident his background will prove to be a positive asset,” Snyder said.
Dr. Safiedine is the CEO of NEMO Health, LLC, director of Michigan Foot & Ankle Specialist, P.C., and a current member and previous president of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association. He is a member of the American and Michigan Podiatric Medical Associations, the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, and the American-Arab Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Safiedine holds a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University, a doctor of podiatric medicine from Barry University, and a master of business administration from the University of Michigan. He will represent podiatrists and replace Crystal Holmes.
Dr. Safiedine will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2021. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
