Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to Truck Safety Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Michelle Taylor of Muskegon to the Michigan Truck Safety Commission.
The 11-member commission develops and administers programs addressing commercial truck driver education.
“Michelle has many years of experience and I am confident she and her fellow commissioners will adequately address education in this field,” Snyder said.
Taylor is the commercial driver license (CDL) coordinator for CDL Training Services & Consulting, Inc. at Muskegon Community College. She recruits students into the program, schedules state tests, and assists with job placement. Taylor attended Baker Community College. She will represent community colleges and replace Thomas O’Brien.
Taylor will serve a two-year term expiring Aug. 4, 2019. Her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
