Friday, Jan. 5, 2018

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Diane Bockhausen of Howell to the State Police Retirement Board.

The nine-member board oversees the Michigan State Police Retirement System.

"Diane’s years of experience with the Michigan State Police will be a great asset as she serves on this board," Snyder said.

Throughout her career with the MSP, Bockhausen held the ranks of trooper, sergeant, lieutenant, first lieutenant and inspector and served as the department’s Equal Employment Opportunity Officer. Bockhausen has also worked as a community corrections manager in Livingston County and as an independent contractor for EMPCO, a company that specializes in testing services for public safety officers.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and psychology from Michigan State University and a law degree from the Detroit College of Law. Bockhausen will represent retirees and replace Diane Garrison.

She will serve a three-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2020.
